Product Details

Backless Design with Smooth Swivel Performance.

The 802 Misha Backless Swivel Stool combines a compact, open design with durable welded steel construction for residential and commercial interiors. Its 16-gauge, 1.25-inch tubular steel frame features solid MIG-welded joints, is independently tested to support up to 550 lbs., and meets applicable ANSI/BIFMA furniture standards.

Choose from multiple powder-coated frame finishes, Chrome, or a 304 stainless steel frame, along with a cushioned seat upholstered in commercial-grade fabric or vinyl, Customer’s Own Material (COM), or a 1.75-inch-thick contoured solid oak or maple seat. Upholstered seats feature 2.5 inches of high-density, U.S.-made foam.

The Misha features our standard S-360 swivel for continuous 360-degree rotation using 52 stainless steel ball bearings. Its backless design maintains open sightlines around kitchen islands, counters, and bars, while the round seat and gently curved steel legs create a compact profile.

Built to order in Holland, Michigan, the Misha is available in 18-inch vanity, 25-inch counter, 30-inch bar, and 36-inch extra-tall seat heights, with custom heights available. It is also offered in our XL Seating Series for Big & Tall and officially licensed Logo Series.

The Misha features a round seat supported by gently curved steel legs that extend outward toward the floor. A circular footrest connects the legs beneath the seat, creating a repeating round shape within the stool’s open steel frame.

Without a backrest or vertical back supports, the seat and curved steel frame define the Misha’s overall appearance. A contoured solid oak or maple seat introduces natural wood grain, while upholstered configurations bring color and texture through the selected fabric or vinyl.

Think of the Misha as the little black dress of bar stools—simple, versatile, and easy to dress up or down. Its understated design works across a range of interior styles, with customizable seat materials and frame finishes allowing it to take on a different character depending on the space.

The 802 Misha combines a backless, round-seat design with a welded steel frame and continuous 360-degree swivel. Unlike stools with a full-height or low backrest, the Misha has no back extending above the seat, helping maintain open sightlines around counters, kitchen islands, and other gathering areas.

The Misha is available in an 18-inch vanity height in addition to counter, bar, and extra-tall configurations. Its upholstered and solid wood seat options, multiple frame choices, and custom-height availability allow the same backless design to be used across a range of residential and commercial indoor settings.

Clean powder-coated frames with a damp cloth and soapy water, then wipe dry. For Chrome frames, use chrome polish according to the polish manufacturer’s instructions. Clean 304 stainless steel frames periodically with a soft microfiber cloth and a stainless-safe cleaner.

For solid wood seats, wipe with a clean, soft cloth dampened with water. Follow with furniture polish and a separate clean, dry, soft cloth. For upholstered seats, follow the cleaning instructions for the selected fabric or vinyl. General care guidance recommends a damp cloth with soapy water followed by drying. Test spot removers in an inconspicuous area before use.

Does the 802 Misha have a backrest?

No. The Misha is a backless stool with a round seat. Its open profile works well where you want to keep views clear or avoid a backrest projecting above a counter.

Does the stool swivel all the way around?

Yes. The standard S-360 swivel provides continuous 360-degree rotation. Memory swivels are available only for backed stools and are not an option for the backless Misha.

Can the Misha be ordered without swivel movement?

Holland Bar Stool can weld the swivel to lock a swivel stool in a stationary position. Request this modification when placing your order.

Can I use the 18-inch Misha at a vanity?

Yes, provided the vanity offers suitable seat-to-surface clearance and legroom. A surface approximately 30 inches high is a starting point for the 18-inch seat. Check drawers and underside supports before ordering.

Can I use the 18-inch Misha at a vanity?

Yes, provided the vanity offers suitable seat-to-surface clearance and legroom. A surface approximately 30 inches high is a starting point for the 18-inch seat. Check drawers and underside supports before ordering.

Will the stool fit completely beneath my counter?

That depends on the counter opening and selected configuration. Compare the available width, depth, and underside height with the stool before ordering. Seat width alone does not describe the space needed for the entire base.

Can I supply my own upholstery?

Yes. Customer’s Own Material (COM) is available. Holland Bar Stool generally requires half a yard per seat, with a one-yard minimum. Patterns requiring repeats or matching need additional material. Confirm requirements before sending fabric.

Is assembly required?

No. The 802 Misha arrives fully assembled.

IS the 304 Stainless Steel a frame finish?

No. The 304 Stainless Steel option uses an actual 304 stainless steel frame rather than a stainless-look coating. The 802 Misha remains an indoor stool in this configuration.

Is the stainless steel Misha suitable for outdoor use?

The standard 802 Misha is an indoor model, including its 304 stainless steel configuration. Choose the separate OD802 outdoor model for outdoor applications.

How long does an order take to ship?

Most orders ship within 7–10 business days. Order quantity, custom selections, and production timing can affect the schedule. Confirm timing for larger projects or orders needed by a specific date.

Where is the 802 Misha made?

The 802 Misha is built in Holland, Michigan, using commercial-grade materials and carefully selected components from around the world. Each stool is made to order with your selected height, frame finish, swivel, and seat option.
