Voltaire’s standout feature is its customizable wood back, offered in four distinctive styles (A, B, C, D), crafted from solid oak or maple. This natural accent adds warmth and sophistication, whether your space leans modern, traditional, or somewhere in between.

For the seat, you can choose a premium 2.5-inch cushioned option made with dense, U.S.-sourced foam. Pair it with your choice of commercial-grade vinyl or fabric upholstery. Our upholstery options meet CAL 117 flammability standards, are GREENGUARD certified, and comply with California Section 01350 for low chemical emissions. The cushioned seat contains no PBDE flame retardants and is free of PFAS chemicals, reflecting our commitment to safety, compliance, and responsible material use in furniture applications.

If you’re after a more natural finish, select a 1.25-inch thick solid hardwood seat in oak or maple, sustainably harvested from domestic sources.
