Product Details
Strength Revealed, Style Awakened.
The 881 Revelle Low-Back Swivel Stool combines warm beech wood detailing with commercial-grade steel construction. Its distinctive low back features a finished wood upper section and a single horizontal steel accent bar, complemented by gently curved steel legs and a circular footrest. The combination creates an open, wood-and-metal design suited to residential and commercial interiors.
The name Revelle was inspired by ideas of awakening, revealing, and even rebelling—a fitting reflection of the stool’s distinctive character. True to its name, the 881 Revelle brings a fresh balance of strength and beauty to its surroundings, revealing thoughtful craftsmanship in every detail.
Built with 16-gauge, 1.25-inch tubular steel and solid MIG-welded joints, the Revelle is independently tested to support up to 550 lbs. and meets applicable ANSI/BIFMA commercial furniture standards.
Customize the seat with commercial-grade fabric, vinyl, or Customer’s Own Material (COM), supported by 2.5 inches of dense, U.S.-made foam. A contoured 1.25-inch solid maple seat offers a natural wood alternative, with available stains and finishes to coordinate with the beech backrest.
The standard S-360 commercial-grade swivel features 52 stainless steel ball bearings for smooth, continuous 360-degree rotation. An optional memory-return swivel is also available.
Choose from Anodized Nickel, Black Wrinkle, Bronze, or Pewter frame finishes. Standard seat heights include 25-inch counter, 30-inch bar, and 36-inch extra-tall configurations, with custom heights available.
Built to order in Holland, Michigan, the Revelle brings distinctive low-back styling, customizable seating, and commercial-grade construction to kitchens, home bars, restaurants, and hospitality spaces.

A finished beech wood back forms the upper portion of the Revelle’s low-back silhouette, with a single horizontal steel accent bar beneath it. The combination of natural wood grain and exposed steel creates a distinctive, open backrest that connects visually with the curved legs and circular footring.
A contoured solid maple seat adds a second wood surface, while fabric or vinyl upholstery introduces color and texture. Because the backrest is beech and the optional wood seat is maple, grain and finish appearance may vary. Back finishes include Natural, Medium, Dark, Dark Cherry, custom stain, and painted Black or custom colors; steel-frame finishes offer additional contrast or coordination.
The Revelle combines low-back seating with the strength and versatility of commercial-grade swivel construction. Its backrest provides a place to lean while maintaining an open seating profile suited to kitchen islands, counters, and bars. The standard continuous swivel and optional memory-return mechanism accommodate different seating preferences and layouts.
An upholstered or solid maple seat, independently selectable wood-back finish, and four steel-frame finishes provide flexibility for residential and commercial projects. Standard and custom seat heights allow the Revelle to accommodate a variety of counter and bar configurations.
Clean the powder-coated steel frame with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water, then wipe dry. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners that could affect the finish.
Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions for the selected fabric or vinyl. Address spills promptly and test any approved spot cleaner in an inconspicuous area first.
Clean the beech back and optional solid maple seat with a soft, lightly dampened cloth and dry afterward. Avoid standing moisture, abrasive products, and aggressive cleaners that could damage the sealed wood finish.
